| Another benefit I've noticed is a reduction in bite offs of heavy fluorocarbon bite tippets when fishing for moderately toothy fish like Spanish mackerel and ladyfish. I suspect that's mostly due to reduced gill hooking and more lip hooking which means the bite tippet doesn't stay in the chomping zone of those teeth. |
