That's what this board is good for... I originally heard about it here, and in turn, passed it on, or, "payed it forward."
I will also say I bought two tubes the first time, and like you, felt it would last forever. Until I left them in the back of my truck for two long... the sun will kill the plastic tube long before you run out of lube!
