I really liked my old Kauffmans Desert Rhat Hat, not to be confused with the relatively poor imitation now marketed by Teva (which I spent $25 on.) The Teva one flaps around in the wind and does nothing for the sun in those conditions - you burn! The old rat hat had a snap in the front and a long bill. I have a couple buffs and need to get on their website to find a way to wear it that's comfortable and offers the best sun protection. BTW - Re: lip balms, I've tried a lot of them and have had good luck with the new Blistex Five Star Lip Protection.
