Hey David, Nice report and as expected wonderful photos! I'm glad your tent didn't get blown off the mountain. I hate the wind; but like you said, it's a common Nemesis in the hight country. I used to try to make my last Sierra foray in early October but the chance of getting snowed in was always present. I loved the brookies with their fall spawning colors. I never got into Golden country. Thanks again for the report. Dan
