Parker Arizona info

is there any fly fishing out in the parker arizona area. i looked on some web sites and there seems to be smallmouth and catfish. didn't really see much about stripers. i am taking the family to meet other families out there. not a hardcore fishing trip. I may get out on a morning or a evening. the question is...should i even bother packing the fly gear??? thanks for any info. jim p
