October on the Trinity, Klamath, Rogue, Umpqua, Deschutes and Grand Ronde River is some of our best fly fishing for Steelhead because it is not too hot and not too cold, yet.

You can swing flies in the surface on a floating line in the morning and evening in October where the fish are very active because of the low light and nice water temp.

This is mostly "upriver" Steelheading on long rivers where a two-handed rod is getting very popular now.
