Here in the Finger Lakes the stars of our fisheries are not natives.... Rainbows, Browns and smallmouth bass. While a couple of the Finger Lakes had true native landlocked salmon populations, most of that today is stocked. Even our "traditional" forage base is non-native. Fishing here would be a lesser sport without our excellent smallmouth fishery.
