The "old guys" bay is Monterey Bay between Capitola and Moss Landing. Leave the beaches to the west (up-coast) to the young "rock-hoppers" and "Cliff-hangers" like Loren to assault. Those waves don't even look like fun unless you're a surfer.
I hope your back is feeling better soon pal! Mine is just now, after a week of nursing it, starting to feel better.
Too much yard work - I hired a gardener yesterday.
