June is prime time in the Chatham area, Monomoy flats and reefs. I've fished it a couple of times with Del Brown and we had a blast sight-fishing for them on the Monomoy flats with Captain Rich Benson. I don't know how that fishery has held up though since it's been a long while since I was there with Del.
I'd also point out that you should take a T-14 head or Custom Cut T-14. When the tide became too low for the fish to be on the flats, they dropped into the channels and I slammed them with a sinking head. I caught both blues and stripers on a variety of flies, including Whistlers and SMMs. Del only fished the top with a Gurgler and he also did very well.
We also wade-fished the flats and did well on certain tides. Bring a Hip Shooter or other stripping basket with you.
I also fish Big and Little Pleasant Bays with Captain Danny Marino and fishing deep in a channel area we were the only ones catching fish.
If your timing is right, there are some offshore rips that can be stellar too; although I've never fished them personally. Roger Hall has tantalized me with details of his successes on those reefs though.
Never leave home without a good fast-sinking line in your line arsenal.
