Couple more Hip-shooter questions

Hi Guys,
I did ask on the other thread here but I guess I was hijacking the thread, sorry

1. Does the new solid bottom make the hip shooter lighter? and,
2. Do Sea level still sell this product, I could not find it on their web site?
