"Not wading"... I've use it for wading rivers and the surf and it works great for those situations, as well as any stripping basket. I don't wade up to my chest though. If you're a deep wader or are very short, I can see a stripping basket of any kind being a problem. I see fly fishers on rivers using the Hip Shooter all the time and they like them for that as much as I do. That said, it's just plain a human fact that you can't make everyone happy.
