I'm going to stick my neck out and call BS on this one... that fish looks to be around 45-50 pounds... check out these photos, the one with the full fish next to the tape shows it at 49" or so (and it's at a weird angle, so could be shorter than that, but not longer), but the next photo with the tape next to the tail could easily be staged.

Also, a fish that long would be from the guys nipples to the ground, even if he's a giant angler it would still scale differently... just doesn't look anywhere near the length or thickness of the world record fish. It is fat but it is not extremely fat. He's also holding it out with barely bent elbows in a few photos, without any look of discomfort or strain.

That monster night fish that was caught illegally and released by that dude in the Simms jacket a year or so ago was MUCH bigger than this fish.... not even close!!
