Powerful stuff there Ray; lift 50 pounds with a 12 weight rod, and it bends 25 degrees; I gotta get me one of those. How come the fish is still forging straight ahead; wouldn't half of it be up out of the water if you were lifting 50 pounds ? Looks like you could touch the bottom with that Loomis one piece rod; in which case when the fish dives for the bottom, you won't have to worry about the rod breaking. George
