|I have been using the Peak for about five years. Best features for me are durability and being portable, as in ease to disassemble and compactness for travel. I use the heavy base rather than the clamp system ( it came with both). Very sturdy with great holding power on big saltwater hooks. I have the extra midge jaws that will hold anything down to smaller than my aging/ bifocalized eyes can handle. Rotary system works well and is easy to manipulate.|
Down side is that it doesn't have the fine finish and grace of your typical fine Italian jobs ( which seems to be true in most aspects of life....wink wink, nudge nudge....)
Final point is that The Fishin Hole in Edmonton carries them ( or at least used to). If you are up for the "experience" they discount them ( or used to ) 25% for their Boxing Day sale. With this discount my Peak was well under $200 C with the extra jaws, base & clamp system. For non Canadians our " Boxing Day Sale" comes the day after Christmas and for a term of reference, think your " Black Friday".
