I have been using the Peak for about five years. Best features for me are durability and being portable, as in ease to disassemble and compactness for travel. I use the heavy base rather than the clamp system ( it came with both). Very sturdy with great holding power on big saltwater hooks. I have the extra midge jaws that will hold anything down to smaller than my aging/ bifocalized eyes can handle. Rotary system works well and is easy to manipulate.

Down side is that it doesn't have the fine finish and grace of your typical fine Italian jobs ( which seems to be true in most aspects of life....wink wink, nudge nudge....)

Final point is that The Fishin Hole in Edmonton carries them ( or at least used to). If you are up for the "experience" they discount them ( or used to ) 25% for their Boxing Day sale. With this discount my Peak was well under $200 C with the extra jaws, base & clamp system. For non Canadians our " Boxing Day Sale" comes the day after Christmas and for a term of reference, think your " Black Friday".

Tight lines,
