After successfully making up some of the braided mono loops using the 50# Gudebrod per Dan's write up, I thought I might try to blind splice the 30# dacron backing forming a loop. Per the instructions in the write up, with braided mono, I used the double catch.
The question is, should I use a double catch with the 30# dacron backing? Would a triple catch be better?
Either way, it will be smoother than the bimini twist that I have on there now.
