Not trying to be argumentative but matching a lead core or T head to a rod by weight will produce a head that is way too short and dumpy. With small diameter, dense sinking lines like these, the rod can handle much more weight that it is rated for. Remember, you up-line by two weight with trues shooting heads regardless of density.

Vets have long matched LC-13 (and other lead core trolling line) and The T lines to their rods by length - a length that feels good and handles well - the closer to 30 feet the better but not under 25 feet except for special circumstances.

As a general rule 27 to 28 feet of lead or T-14 is right for 8- and 9-weight rods; 30 feet for 10-weight and 11-weights; a bit longer for 12s and up.

For T-11 30 feet works well.

Forgot cutting it by weight and matching the weight/load rating of the rod, the line will end up being to short. Start with 30-feet and cut accordingly - just like we do the the T-14 and T-11 Custom Cut integrated heads.s
