I have a fairly new (2 years old) and expensive Native Run Loomis and the cork was falling apart when I took it out of the case. My sage rods appear to be holding up better, but none of these has the high quality cork of my older rods or the stash of premo cork rings I have. YEs, I support composite or reconstituted cork if it means my rods will last without me having to fill in the gaps.
