Very cool Loren. Coho in the salt are hard to beat. Especially with your feet on firm ground. Ive seen my last few wraps of backing on a few occasions fishing salty silvers.

The california neil has really taken off over the last 10 years. Neil fishes where we do in canada and he's a hoot. He typically lives out of his car and pesters coho up and down V.I.s east coast most of the fall.

I always have "neils" in my coho box. There are years when the silvers wont even look at em and theres years when they wont look at anything else. Pretty frustrating fish honestly ;-) Its cool when theyre on em cause its such a simple fly. You could tie 20 by the campfire in one evening.

That sucks about the tire and outrageous bill. But when you look back on this trip in the future, the memory of the $700 will fade, but those chromers will continue to shine!
