HB:

I've used Cortland crystal in 8 and 10. When the conditions are tropical 80 degrees and more, the line casts great. In dead calm and clear conditions the fall of the line and fly are easy to see but above 7-8kts wind its difficult to pickup and follow the line to fly. But recently in dead calm conditions(water temp 84-89 air 90-95) on Biscayne Bay did not flare big bonefish with false casting under 60 feet. I had to essentially hit a cruising fish on the head to spook/flare. Based on this limited experience, with similar conditions I will continue to use; however, catching my largest double digi bonefish in 30 plus years on the line significantly contributes to my continued use...
