Well I just looked at it again; and it is Left handed as Old Ray said; so I was wrong; and I believe it is a 9500; but it most certainly is a Mako. I thought for a while there were two different reels; because the earlier flash shots had a white ring; but that turned out to be sim-ply the backing showing through the porting. There is one shot where you get a very good view of the drag knob on the other side of the spool. I think if you look at your 9550 Dan, you will see it is a bit larger that the reel in the movie. But it isn't a 9600 or 9700 size. George Still a creepy movie though when those tarpons roll in the mist.
