Josh, as I said, I have been stonewalled by DFG. All I know is what I read in the newspapers. The Mercury News reports that the kill was on Chevron property and that they had applied for permits.

If I had been contacted by DFG as promised, I could have found out much more info if they were willing to talk. At this point I think its another DFG coverup. If the permits were issued, where was the oversight?

I envy some states where it seems the DFG and sportsmen work in cooperation to enhance, protect and preserve the natural resources, fisheries, bird and wildlife. It seems in California that DFG regards itself at war with those who would give them the very support they need.

But then again, we have to remember that DFG is a thorn in the Governor's side as well. He'd like nothing more than to pump the whole delta south and puts people in charge who agree with him.
