Based on the posts on this board and Blane's report of the duck club incident I too contacted DFG yountville office on Wednesday and pointed them to the posted information on this board. Since then I have been in contact with DFG to make sure that the fish kill was just one incident and not two separate incidents. A DFG biologist confirmed that the fish kill occurred on Wheeler Island, no other fish kills reported. Since then we have not heard any info. Are the remaining fish safe? Is the killing still ongoing and are the fish still in danger? If so, is a fish rescue taking place? Did DFG approve a permit for this and not monitor the situation again?

I have contacted Senator Wolks office to inform her of what is taking place. She was instrumental in bringing out the facts at Prospect Island and authored the fish rescue bill, which our governor the Fish Terminator vetoed. I have also contacted Nancy Foley, Chief Warden, about this incident but she is on vacation. I was personnally assured from Foley after Prospect Island that this sort of incident would not occur again.
