Scott, I also like that style of fly and have worked on one of my own with a far different material.The materials I use are Mirror Image from the fishient group. (same folks that do Slinky fibre and Farrar blend etc). Fully synthetic and 1/2 to 2/3's the diameter of slinky fibre. Lots of great colors and great movement as well. Give it a try if you have the need for a new material. Cheers Chas
