In the past two years I have flown a 1/2 dozen times out of Canada from Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto and Vancouver on Air Canada, West Jet, and Continental with up to three carry on rods and up to 8 carry on reels (with line). Any kind of hook or pointy object (ie flies and fishing pliers) had to go as checked baggage. Guy
