No plant in Pittsburg but there is one in Martinez from what I've been told. As to being sure, no, I'm not sure at all. All I have is an-email with the photos and the information that the kill was from a recent spill at Chevron, Pittsburg? As I said in the first post, I'm looking for more information. If not corroborated then we will have no way of knowing whether the information is correct or not.

If I had another means of checking, I'd do so, however, the person reporting, (yesterday) has not responded to a followup e-mail. Dan's board is filled with anglers that prowl the delta. Perhaps one of them has heard of the spill or recognizes the photos.

Right now, all I know is that the photos show a lot of dead stripers in what appears to be a reddish heavy oil spill in a canal.

Until we know more, all we can do is speculate. However, if a spill was covered up, it needs to be identified and mitigation made for the damages.
