New questions on lines for striper fishing please?

First, I'd like to thank those who have helped me out with my earlier questions. Thanks for the advice on the T-14 line in particular. I paired my 9wt Xi2 with 27' of T-14 for a head weight of 378. I know that is a little lighter than some recommended but it was what felt good practice casting. That practice must have paid off as casting it went surprisingly well this morning. I was very pleased with the distance of my casts & my ability to put it (close to) where I wanted. What rod & line wt are you guys using for casting the medium size (1/0 - 5 1/2") Pole Dancer? Admittedly, my casting skills are lacking. Still, not really getting very much distance using 8wt Xi2 & 8wt Outbound Short. When considering a "I" line (Outbound Short recommended?) would you prefer to use a 8wt or 9wt rod & line. Right now, I have my 9wt set up with a fast sinking line & my 8wt set up with a WF8F Outbound Short. Thanks, Mike
